On August 28th, 2011 H.E TUN Pheakdey, the president of University of Management and Economics was invited to take part the commencement at UME Banteay Mean Chey campus under the presidential delegate, a head of National Assembly of Camboida, Samdech Akak Moha Ponhea Chakrey HENG Samrin. In the special occasion, the number of the students graduated successfully was 688.
On November 07th, 2011 H.E TUN Pheakdey, the president of University of Management and Economics was invited to take part the commencement at UME Kratie campus under the presidential delegate, H.E Im Chhunlim, a senior minister of Ministry of Land Planning and Urbanization. H.E TUN Pheakdey was appreciated with 277 students who graduated successfully in order to uplift their living-condition and the national development.
OUTSTANDING CELEBRATION AND NEW ENROLLMENT AT UME KAMPONG CHAM CAMPUS
On October 09th, 2011 H.E TUN Pheakdey, the president of University of Management and Economics and personal adviser of Samdech Akak Moha Ponhea Chakrey HENG Samrin, a head of National Assembly of Camboida, was invited to take part to celebrate the outstanding students and new enrollment at UME Kratie campus under the honorary delegate, Mr. Oum Phern Kunavuth, a head of provincial administration division. It's really exciting that those students had gotten success due to their study hard remarkably under the efforts of all UME leaders in or order to build up the human resource for tomorrow.
OUTSTANDING STUDENT CONGRATULATION FOR GEP AT UME BTB CAMPUS
On October 14th, 2011 H.E TUN Pheakdey, the president of University of Management and Economics and personal adviser of Samdech Akak Moha Ponhea Chakrey HENG Samrin, a head of National Assembly of Camboida, was present honorably to present the certificate of Pre-diploma to the outstanding students for General English Program at UME main campus, BTB. In that time, presence of H.E Buth Kimsean, a honorary head of University of Management and Economics was also too.
" Today English language is very necessary to attract the foreign investors to run the business in Cambodia and it also brings the Khmer students to understand world widely through it." said H.E TUN Pheakdey. And he mentioned that this program surely provides the students abilities in many fields such as academic, business, political, economic, technology, and research if they admire it as the global
language.
On February 19th, 2011 a group of UME delegates led by the H.E TUN Pheakdey, a president of University of Management and Economics and a personal adviser of Samdech Akak Hoha PonheaChatry HENG Samrin, a head of National Assembly of Cambodia; went to visit and distribute gifts to Cambodian Royal Army Forces who were standing to protect the disputed territory along theCambodian-Thai borders at the checkpoint of ChrakTatav, PreahVihear temple.He convinced, “On behalf of Khmer citizen, I would like to thank to our military gratefully and deeply in obligation to protect the sovereignty and heritage, which were usually invaded by the Siamese soldiers for several hundred years.” It is also good and value gestures for UME leaders, teachers, staff, and students that raised and shared a few capitals to assist the nation while facing the suffering caused in invasion from the bordering neighbors.
In direction to cooperation with other universities in both local and overseas, it is the best choice for University of Management and Economics to enhance the quality of education, as well as intellectual human resources throughout Cambodia. On July 2nd, 2010 UME had reached to sign the Memorandum of Understanding with University Malaysia Sarawak, UNIMAS in order to cooperate and strengthen both universities. As that time, any points were agreed such as: academic program, lecturer and student exchanging program. It was also the best opportunity to encourage both teachers and students to share and learn culture and civilization to each other because of Cambodia and Malaysia being the members of The Association of Southeast Asia Nations.
SIGNING MoU BETWEEN UME AND SHENYAN UNIVERSITY IN CHINA
Standing on its own motto such as: quality, braveness, courage, moral, and national consciousness, H.E TUN Pheakdey, a president of University of Management and Economics and a personal adviser of SamdechAkakHohaPonheaChakry HENG Samrin, a head of National Assembly of Cambodia, as well as a group of UME delegates had visited officially to Shenyang Aerospace University in China to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in purpose to exchanging program, students, and teachers. He confirmed that it was very beneficial to UME that had a opportunity to cooperate with one of the largest universities in China. Moreover; he added that if we looked back at the history, two countries had become a good friendship for many centuries according to the records of Chines historian.

THE WORKSHOP ON US ECONOMIC CRISIS AT UME
On June 25th, 2010 the workshop on US Economic Crisis and SAXEUS Corporation’s Project was organized and presented by the spokeswoman, Mrs. Mckinnery, a prof. of Phoenix University in The United States. The presence of participants at this workshop included Mr. TepKhonnal, a head of Board of Trustee of UME, Mrs. Mckinnery, a prof. of Phoenix University from The United States, H.E TUN Pheakdey, a president of UME, teachers, staff, and the students more approximated than 300. All participants were presented the certificate.
H.E TUN PHEAKDEY JOINT UK EDUCATION EXHIBITION
H.E TUN Pheakdey, a president of University of Management and Economics was invited to join the educational exhibition organized by the United Kingdom under the honorary presence of H.E PET Chamnan, a secretary of State of Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport of Cambodia and the other senior officers of UK Embassy to Cambodia.
